Biography

Soobin Im is a doctoral student in the School Psychology program area. She received a BS in Psychology and a minor in Education and Educational Services from UW–Madison. Before her graduate training, she was involved in a research project on pediatric anxiety at the HealthEmotions Research Institute. Soobin’s research interests include understanding social-emotional development and support for English Language Learners and advocating for the students and their families who may face added stressors as a minoritized group. She currently works in the Rural Education Research and Implementation Center, examining mental and behavioral health needs of students in rural WI.
